Ayre Manor Hospice Care

In 2017, a two-bed community hospice space was created at Ayre Manor to provide care and support to loved ones and individuals nearing end of life.

Ayre Manor Hospice provides Sooke and surrounding area residents with improved access to a full range of end-of-life care services of which dedicated hospice care beds are but one component. This includes access to timely end-of-life services such as coordinated clinical and social supports provided by Island Health and community partners including Sooke Hospice Society. We are committed to supporting residents of our region so that they may receive Palliative Care Services in the community they call home.

In addition to providing families with clinical supports and end-of-life care, Ayre Manor Hospice includes a private wing with large rooms, private ensuite bathrooms and a comfortable area for families to gather.

Sooke Elderly Citizens’ Housing Society has been serving the residents of Sooke and area since early 1972 with Independent Subsidized Affordable rental housing. In 2008, Assisted Living and Complex Care were added to the “Campus of Care” at Ayre Manor. Adding Hospice services in 2017 completes the circle of housing and care options that are offered on the Ayre Manor property.
